St. Andrew’s Breakfast

March 7 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

St. Andrew’s Breakfast; Saturday, 3/7 at 9:00am:

Our guest speaker will be Dick Hallford, a member of Trails West, a historical preservation group, will tell us about the great migration that took place about 170 years ago. Over a few years, half a million people uprooted themselves from their homes in what is now the eastern United States and travelled west, by ship and overland, to California and the Oregon territory. They were searching for land on which to start a new life, and, after the gold discovery in California, gold itself. Mr. Hallford will be speaking on stories of those who took the overland routes with their trials and tribulations. Evidence of many of the trails they took still exist. Mr. Hallford and his group search out these routes and memorialize them, so they won’t entirely disappear under pressure of development.

Be sure to join us!  Everyone is welcome.  $5 per person at the door.  Sign up at the kiosk or email the office.
