The Bethlehem Experience
December 15 @ 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Cornerstone presents: The Bethlehem Experience. A tour of the Bethlehem marketplace on the night of Jesus’ birth.
Join your Tour guide for a walking tour of the Bethlehem marketplace. Meet the local merchants, like the Baker, the Spice Seller, the Potter, the Carpenter and the Clothier and hear about a rumor that is running around town, a rumor about a baby that has just been born in the village. Be serenaded by the local Musician and listen as the Rabbi teaches some students and hear from the Prophetess Anna. Just be careful not to run afoul of the Romans, like the Census Taker, the Money Taker, the Tax Collector or any of the Guards. Be on the look out for Pick pockets, Beggars or Runaway Slaves. You’ll end the evening at the local inn where the Innkeeper and his Wife tell you about the over crowding in the city due to the census. There you’ll meet a Shepherd with some good news and finally the parents of the rumored baby.
Tours leave on the hour beginning at 4:00 pm on December 15th with the last tour leaving at 8:00 pm. Tour group sizes are limited, so please book early by calling (925) 685-4720.
