When things around us seem uncertain and scary it is especially important to remind ourselves of the love and grace of God, the source of all things, all life. In John, chapter 15, Jesus uses the image of a vine with many branches to illustrate our connection with him, and through him, with God. Like branches on a vine, life giving nourishment flows to us from our connection through Christ to God. Love is the life juice, the sap, energy that flows from God through the vine to the branches and into the fruit. As we receive and abide in God’s love, our lives blossom and bear fruit.
