“What would it mean if the church valued gracious behavior over right belief?” Philip Gulley asks in the fourth chapter of his book, If the Church Were Christian: Rediscovering the Values of Jesus. What would it look like if we valued people more than our beliefs and customs? This Sunday we will look to Jesus as our guide in answering these important questions. Our gospel text will be Luke 6:6-11.
