St. Andrew’s offers fun programs and events for our children year-round.
Godly Play: Sunday School for Pre-K through 5th grade – Godly Play is a Montessori-inspired Sunday School program for preschool through 5th grade that teaches Bible stories and concepts using visual, auditory and tactile senses. All stories are told in a circle using elements that are touched and moved around to give new dimension to the story. Children are encouraged to learn and connect with God in their own unique ways and are given freedom to choose their own response and work.
Children’s Ministry Sunday: Each year in the spring, St. Andrew’s celebrates our children’s ministry programs and the many children we have the joy and privilege of knowing at our church through a special worship service: Children’s Ministry Sunday. The service looks a little different each year: sometimes it’s a video of our children, other times a skit or drama. There’s always lots of music, though: kids singing, ringing handbells and even playing musical solos. Other children help lead in worship through leading the congregation in prayer or reading a Scripture passage. It’s a very special service, indeed, designed and led by our children for all the children of God.
Christmas Pageant: Every year our children present a Christmas Pageant for the congregation. Your child is invited to take the spotlight and bring new life to the Christmas story!
