EARTH CARE AT ST. ANDREWS
**REDUCE**REUSE**RECYCLE**RESPECT**
My Work is Loving the World
My work is loving the world.
Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird –
equal seekers of sweetness.
Here the quickening yeast; there the blue plums.
Here the clam deep in the speckled sand.
Are my boots old? Is my coat torn?
Am I no longer young and still not half-perfect? Let me
keep my mind on what matters,
which is my work,
which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished.

Upcoming Earth Care Meetings
April 5: GREEN SWAP
Free and Earth Friendly!
Free is a word we tend to like and with that in mind the Earth Care group will be hosting a Green Swap!
On Sunday April 5 please bring items from home that you no longer want but that someone else at church might like. You can place your stuff on tables set up in the Celebration Center before church and people can browse and take items during coffee hour until 11:45 am. Whatever items you bring that are left over need to be taken back home when you are ready to leave.
What kind of items? Anything you feel someone at church might want such as kitchen items, pans, spatulas, dishes, etc. towels, garage tools, garden tools, vases, decorative items, even partially used items like gift wrap or ribbon, accessories like handbags, neck ties, jewelry, belts, scarves. Just look around! Lots of possibilities! You do not need to bring items in order to take items.
Please no clothing or books this first time because they are more difficult to find the right home. We will have clipboards where you can list items you want to give away that are too large to bring to church and a clipboard for requested items you want to have or borrow.
Our hope is to have regular Green Swap days so that we can continue to reduce and reuse!
