LIGHT OF THE UNIVERSE

LIGHT OF THE UNIVERSE

Psalm 19:1-4 The heavenly bodies proclaim the glory of God with the skies a setting displaying his craftsmanship. Day by day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known, silently, without language. Yet their message has beamed throughout the earth, their sayings across all the world.

This version of the passage is one I have patchworked together from a range of English translations with additional reference to an existing literal translation of the Hebrew. Not that I’m a linguistics scholar by any imaginative stretch, but just a curious researcher who wanted to get deeper into the sense of the author’s thoughts. It is a great passage about the awesomeness of our God. It’s been set to music multiple times by greats such as Joseph Haydn and J.S. Bach.
