One way to think of the Bible is as an instruction manual for living in Christ; for being a child of God; for being a follower of Jesus. But let’s face it; the Bible is a big, sometimes daunting book that can be very hard to understand. It was written a long time ago in other languages and in other cultures. A lifetime of study may still leave us struggling to understand what it means. Wouldn’t it be handy to have a pocket guide to the Bible–something short and to the point that tells us the basic things we need to do as followers of Jesus in our time and place? This Sunday we will explore Romans 12:9-21, which I think is a wonderful pocket guide to being a Christian
