Matthew 6:31-33  Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We all have responsibilities and practical needs. Most of us have these not just for ourselves alone, but also for others. And God wants us to take those things seriously – but not #1 seriously. Number one serious is the road we choose to travel as we navigate life day by day. It’s often not the fastest route, nor the most convenient – it’s God’s way, the route of arriving at each day’s end having shared the hopes, needs, methods, details and reflections of the journey along the way with the One who is our constant companion and guide on the way.   Pastor Bill
