2 Chronicles 20:13-19

What God did for Jehoshaphat and the Israelites is extraordinary. It was the result of them recognizing their deep need and realizing their inabilities. They threw themselves on the mercy and grace of God to deliver them from their enemies. What is your deep need for God? In what ways have you chosen to depend upon yourself to fix things in your life? Why do you allow that which makes you afraid to dominate your faith in God? In what ways have you turned it over to God and allow God to save you from your predicament?

Luke 5:33-39

Just because you are a certain chronological age doesn’t necessarily mean you are brittle and inflexible. What needs to happen in your life to remain flexible: for the new wine of the Holy Spirit? for the changes that will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church when your new pastor arrives?

Romans 8:28-38

What are the things that frighten you in life? How are they more powerful than the right hand of God? What would give you more confidence in God’s ability? What would you have to give up in order to allow God to be greater than the things/people/situations that cause you fear?
