WHEELS ON THE BUS

WHEELS ON THE BUS

Isaiah 64:8 Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter;  we are all the work of your hand.

The potter’s wheel goes round and round – like the wheels on the bus of which children like to sing. The potter’s wheel sometimes speeds up and sometimes slows down. But always do the divine potter’s hands work to shape us, evermore towards the pattern of the Son. The Father’s hands know exactly where and how much pressure, where and how much moisture, just the right speed of turning. No matter how it may feel at times, the wheel goes only forward. And sometimes we wonder why certain things seem to recur again and again. Some things are simply inherently harder for us to learn. Some things about us get habitually stuck and need frequent re-work. The Potter knows best, and knows each of us best.   Pastor Bill
