With Jesus at the Last Supper

Jesus and disciples at Last Supper

In our worship for the next two months, we will be on an imaginative journey with Jesus and his disciples.  We are going to remember and relive the last week of Jesus’ earthly life–a week which began with Jesus’ triumphal entry into the city and ended with his arrest, trial, and execution.  This has been rightly called the “greatest story ever told” and it is not just their story; it is our story as well.  For we too are Jesus’ disciples.  He is our friend and our Lord, our teacher and our Savior.  This Sunday we begin our Lenten journey using drama, art, scripture, sacrament and song to imagine ourselves With Jesus at the Last Supper (Luke 22:1-38). At this meal there was a stew of human emotions.  There was intrigue, danger, betrayal, and misunderstanding, but also good intentions and love.  And at the center of it all, was Jesus.  I invite you to join us on this journey!

blessings, Ernie
