Woof woof!

Woof woof!

Ezekiel 34:12  As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered.

Of people raised in the faith, many have wandered from the fold. Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, seeks them out along with their friends and families.  He seeks them through the under-shepherds, those of faith who do keep to the flock. That’s y’all! The pastor is not the shepherd, but is instead the little Corgi or Border Collie, part of whose role is to bark and nip at the heels of the under-shepherds that they go out and do the work of seeking those who have wandered, or never even come near. This is a parable about something long known – the number one reason someone comes to, or back to, any church, is personal invitation by someone who has been praying for them.
